Introducing Group Show “Do Arabs Dream of Electric Sheep?”

In line with their mission to be a gateway for discovery and support for local and regional talent, ICD Brookfield Place Arts inaugurates their 2023 program with the group show Do Arabs Dream of Electric Sheep?Conceived by Palestinian researcher, curator, and culture producer Adam HajYahia the exhibition showcases upcoming and established artists from the region who explore the complexities of culture, language, history, place, and connection through speculative futurity unconstrained by historical narratives. Building on Arab and regional traditions, artists Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme, Haitham Haddad, Meriem Bennani, Tracy Chahwan, and Walid Bouchouchi (Studio Akakir) use multimedia installations encompassing films, texts, and prints to provide a critical lens to view regional realities.
